4strings88keys is a charity run by volunteers who aim to promote chamber music in Sheffield and Derbyshire We organise weekends that consist of a concert, a day of masterclass style teaching and individual lessons followed by a day of tutored ensemble playing. We also run an annual cello day Our tutors are from the international circuit and offer the teaching skills they bring to their own pupils Bernard Gregor-Smith of the Dante quartet (previously of the Lindsays) is our lead musician and music advisor |

| Who is it for? |
String players and pianists whether you are amateur player, teacher or advanced student. Preformed groups of all levels and individuals are welcome though a minimum grade 7 standard of playing is recommended |

| Repertoire | You can play and be coached on your own choice of pieces in the masterclasses (if opted for) and the ensemble sessions. If you prefer to observe, information on the repertoire to be coached will be available prior to the weekend |

| The whole weekend | The programme covers the whole weekend with Saturday being aimed at the performer and Sunday at the ensemble coaching. There maybe some overlap in the content of the two days depending on numbers attending. It is also possible to attend for one day only. |

| The recital | This is free for weekend attenders but also is open to the public. Extra tickets are available by contacting us and will also be sold at the door. |

| Catering | Tea and coffee are included, lunch will be available to buy on both days and tea on Saturday, if pre ordered. An optional meal will be organised for those wishing to join us on the Friday. |

Costs of Chamber Music Weekend; These are broken down to enable whole weekend or one day attendance £120 is the basic cost for the weekend includes membership of 4strings88keys, observation of teaching by experts at masterclasses, a recital, a lecture, Alexander Sessions and ensemble coaching by appropriate tutors £ 70 gives attendance on either Saturday or Sunday and includes recital and the events on the chosen day Optional Extras; Individual lesson £30; Masterclass performer £10 per person. Meals evening meals and lunches as on the application form There may be some student bursaries available from Friends of 4strings88keys
